Constrained Whole-Body Tracking for Humanoid Robots
Optimization-based (CBF) constraints for RL-based humanoid whole-body control, enabling runtime-specified safety without retraining the base policy
I am a PhD candidate at Stanford University, where I work with Marco Pavone in the Autonomous Systems Lab. At Amazon Frontier AI & Robotics (FAR), I work with Koushil Sreenath and Carlo Sferrazza. I am also a current 2024 NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Fellow, and was a 2022 NSF Graduate Research Fellow.
In my research, I focus on high-performance robot control and safety, with tight integration between optimal and learning-based methods. While I’ve worked on a wide range of robot platforms in my PhD, my current focus is on safety and reinforcement learning for humanoid robots, with the goal of reducing the inherent tradeoffs between what makes a robot safe and what makes a robot useful.
